Testimonials
"I’ve tracked at studios all over the world. Trod Nossel’s engineers have killer
ears, the drum sounds I get in their main room (with that great cathedral ceiling)
are fantastic, their digital gear line-up is truly impressive, their analog
and vintage stuff is mind-boggling, the place runs like a well oiled machine."
- Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live Band / Sheryl Crow / Bob Dylan /
Rod Stewert / Michelle Branch & others)
"I’ve tracked at a lot of studios and believe me, Trod Nossel has got it going
on. Great gear, cool vibe, extreme digital and analog recording savvy
from a cast of great engineers. The Doctor is IN!"
- Andy York (John Mellencamp / Ian Hunter / Nils Lofgrin)
"All of the staff we worked with was incredible. It was such a positive
experience, as our group had done a day elsewhere, and it was a NIGHTMARE. Paul
Mocaldo & Chris Sellas were the ones we had the most interaction with -
and they were both fantastic, professional, and always courteous. You've got
a great thing going on there - hope you all continue to be successful well into
the future!"
- Tracey Welton Cuccia, The Regulators (Fife & Drum Corps)
"We had a wonderful experience working with Chris and the entire staff
at Trod Nossel. It was clear that his technical skill and creative ablity elevated
our work to a higher level, and he was interested in our product and our overall
recording experience. As the musical director of the group, I would feel 100%
confident in returning to Trod Nossel for our future recording, and I would
feel especially fortunate to benefit from Chris's expertise. Thank you for helping
us produce something we will always be proud of!"
- Alison Scaramella, The ConnChords (of Connecticut College / a cappella)
"Thank you so much. Paul recently engineered a track for a vocalist named Rebecca
Riss. What I heard when she sent it absolutely blew me away and, trust me, I
know it didn't sound that good when I sent it. I can't tell you how impressive
you made that sound."
- Michael Mackinnon
"I found working with Doc at Trod Nossel to be a sublime experience. The relaxing
atmosphere and comfortable set-up makes the anxieties of recording disappear,
and the engineering staff and the studio itself are both top-notch."
- Joe Hurley
"Recording with The Reducers at Trod Nossel is always a treat. We count on
the great room, gear and terrific engineers to keep everyone comfortable and
focused on the job at hand - making classic records. The tracks we record at
Trod Nossel always sound punchy and powerful, but the thing that keeps us coming
back is that it's just a great place to get creative. I got to experience another
side of the studio when I arranged the American CD release of classic recordings
by The Wildweeds. It took months to track down original bandmembers to get interviews
and photos, but it would have been worthless if the music didn't jump off the
CD. Trod Nossel came through big time. We got tons of praise and press for the
re-issue but without fail, each review went out of its way to note the brilliance
of the re-mastered sound."
- Richard Brukner (Producer, NYC)
"As a Musician who was born and raised in Wallingford CT, it is both refreshing
and amazing that one of the best studios I’ve ever worked at is located in my
hometown. I have recorded in some of the best studios in the world, and Trod
Nossel definitely rates up with them. The staff is professional and courteous
and the sound that they get is second to none. I was never more pleased than
I was when I received the final masters and compared them to major label releases
and realized that Trod Nossel recordings sounded better than the records recorded
in $2000-a-day studios. I will definitely go back and record there whenever
the opportunity arises."

"We were referred to Trod Nossel by Beef Stew of WCCC-FM. His telling me TNA
was the place to record was an understatement. Our experience there was the
best ever. The quality of our recording has amazed us!!"
- Steve Molnar / The Bluescasters
"Time after time you and your staff deliver the incredible results we, the
artists, are looking for. We came in to begin our 14-song project expecting
to make a great sounding CD with production good enough to shop to record labels.
7 months later we finished the disc and were astonished. Once again you have
soared above and beyond our greatest hopes for the project. Out of the control
room, your studio remains bar none the best I've ever experienced. Our project
had many special needs, and the studio manager effortlessly coordinated everything
to perfection. Darlene was extremely helpful in the arrangement of our in-state
accommodations, and made our stay a very happy and productive one. On behalf
of the band; Mike, JD, Sean and myself thank you ALL again for your time and
efforts. We will see you soon no doubt."

Project: Copyright Chaos - Veni Vidi Vici
I had heard of Trod Nossel Studios' credible recording reputation through bands I am familiar with in the area. I am very glad I took thier advice when they recommended to me that I record the next Copyright Chaos release there.
The facility is very clean and accomodate's comfortably to their clients and the staff was equally friendly and flexible. Going into this recording I was looking for a top notch recording to bring a full professional sound to this release and Trod Nossel studios delivered.
The engineer was very professional and was very open minded to my ideas and approached the project in a motivating manner. Any idea's I brought to the table he welcomed and he met all of the challenges in a confident manner. He was patient and easy to work with and I would highly recommend Trod Nossel Studios to any artists looking to get their music recorded, mixed or mastered.
Thanks for the experience.
