PRODUCER: Cub Koda & Doc Cavalier ORIGIN: Ann Arbor, MI WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: Even if the name Cub Koda doesn't quite ring a bell with you, his band's big hit, "Smokin' In The Boys Room," ought to jangle your memory. That's right. Koda was the main songwriter and singer for the seminal arena rock band Brownsville Station for the better part of the '70s. Since then, Koda's remained an active recording artist, releasing solo projects as well as lending himself to several special projects, including the recently released Hound Dog Taylor tribute, plus three tracks on an upcoming Howlin' Wolf tribute slated for a mid-summer release. With Box Lunch, Koda steps out alone with just an acoustic guitar, harmonica and a new batch of introspective and somber songs. SUGGESTED SONGS: "We Were Crazy Back Then"; "No Matter What You Say"; "Runaway Heart." CONTACT: Tom Cavalier 1-800-800-4487 |
