Yardbirds, The Animals, Etc. Bandmates Unite
 For
those few who don't know, The Yardbirds are best known for
launching the careers of three of the greatest British
rock guitarists of all time: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck &
Jimmy Page. Today, original member Jim McCarty teams up
with other seasoned pro's for an eclectic collective
modern day metamorphosis of some of the 60s best groups.
We got to hear them first in the studio.

"We are pleased to
announce a new recording project that includes Jim McCarty
of The Yardbirds, Hilton Valentine of The Animals and John
Hawken of The Nashville Teens/Renaissance. Dave Hurd from
Hilton's band Skiffledog joins us on the bass. Recording
began last week at the famed Trod Nossel Studios in
Wallingford, Conn. One new track by McCarty plus some cool
cover versions of well known and obscure rock n roll
classics.
We were thinking of
releasing these five tracks as an E.P. but things went so
well that we may record some more and release a full
length album. There is also talk of touring with this
line-up if the stars align correctly. But our biggest
problem right now seems to be coming up with a name for
the band! We shall keep you all updated.
