Modern Recording
MRT I is a comprehensive course in audio engineering that familiarizes
students with many aspects of recording. It covers the basics of sound and
sine waves, to types of microphones, mic'ing techniques, bussing, EQs and
such. This course is 6 weeks of theory and 6 weeks of practical
application. This is strictly recording and focus is on the console,
patching, and studio basics. Pro Tools is introduced in MRT II. |
Modern Recording MRT II is a 6 week practical using what students have learned in CRT and MRT I. You will be doing 6 recording sessions supervised by a Trod Nossel Staff Engineer. This is our most advanced, and hands-on course in which the students actually are the engineers. |
