NEW Trod
Nossel
Channel on YouTube!
Check out the new Trod Nossel archives of video footage at
our channel on YouTube.
There are many clips and thousands of hours of footage being
transferred from reels, VHS tapes, and miniDV's for editing
and upload here.
Be sure to subscribe so you'll be alerted when new videos are
uploaded. Since our history dates back to 1962 (Syncron), and
1966 for Trod Nossel and various other entities, this will be
a work in progress.
If you are a client, or anyone who has footage of your
experience at Trod Nossel, in the studio, with Doc, or any
other Trod Nossel related video, let us know. If it is
uploaded to YouTube we will add it to our Playlists.
Some
recent clips are from R&B client, Benjamin Rhodes...
...
and Trod's own former 30+ year veteran Chief Engineer, Rich
Robinson, in a clip mixing the Wildweeds from 1990 shot by Doc
Cavalier.

Chris Sellas,
Engineer
|
|
Yet
another great find from the University of New Haven. With a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Sound Recording, Chris
Sellas, affectionately known simply as, "Sellas," took the
studio by storm at the beginning of last year. He logged
hundreds of hours of session time in an effort to gain the
most wisdom about the rooms in only the first month or two,
including, mastering analog recording to tape.
Sellas started out as an Assistant Engineer and quickly became
full time. He had several years of prior engineering
experience including recording a live performance of The Joe
Piscopo Show in NY.
Large, stoic and seemingly on the quiet side, he made a job
for himself here at Trod. But don't let the quiet exterior
fool you. He takes on projects with tenacity and passion, a
nose-to-the-grindstone mindset, mixed with an artistic flair,
not to mention a great sense of humor that will surprise you.
Since all of our staff are also musicians, we can't help
ourselves but to unintentionally give out "free production"
and Sellas is no exception. He is trained in piano, guitar,
drums and sax.

TYLER WILKINSON
AND CHRIS SELLAS IN STUDIO B
Whether it's tracking, mixing, editing or mastering, Chris
Sellas takes projects on and makes them his own to deliver
superior service to our clients. |

Paul
Mocadlo, Engineer |
Tech
extraordinaire, Paul Mocadlo, is no stranger to Trod Nossel.
The studio has been blessed with a history of Mocadlo's, from
Paul's Dad, Wayne, to his brother, John. For the last several
years, Paul has had a painstaking wait for an engineering
position to open up at Trod, a wait that would prove to be a
loss for us; had we
only known what we were missing.
Known for Mocadlo Amplification, Paul and his family have
been building sought after custom, vacuum tube amps for
several years. He is the Trod "go to" guy for most
technical issues, as he has the innate ablity to repair
just about anything; a la, tech expert Danny Zellman, a
former Trod Nossel engineer and current affiliate.
DARLENE
CAVALIER AND PAUL MOCADLO
Paul is an energetic, open-minded guy and works the gammut of
genres in the studio from rap to jazz. He loves his work, and
it shows. Besides being a talented engineer, he also does
track compilation, pre, and post production work.
Paul has been known to work long hours on anything clients
need and shows true interest in each project. But that
doesn't ever seem to affect his positive upbeat persona. Even
at the end of a 10 hour session, Paul is the epitome of
fresh-faced energy which outlasts the best of us. |
