Syncron S10 Cardiod Microphone
DID YOU KNOW?
Before Trod Nossel established itself as a bonafide recording
studio in 1966, it was Syncron Sound Studios ('65-'66) of
Syncron Corporation (1962-1965) where several historical mics
were manufactured.
Not only did Steppenwolf record at Trod in the 70s for the
historical Trod Nossel Concert Series radio shows, but
featured in the July 2008
Mix Magazine on page 100, paragraph six, Steppenwolf
describes how 4-5 Syncron S10 microphones were generally used
in their recording sessions.
The online version of the article can also be viewed

Together We Can Change The World
Some of you may recall the piece we did in our
May 22, 2008 newsletter,
sharing the story of a very special project by client, Bill
Rodman, called,
"Together We Can Change The World," featuring the
talented Ugandan SIFA Childrens' Choir. The project is
complete, and the song and video are available for viewing and
listening on the
TWCCTW website.
Sung
by 12
year old Rilee O'Neill (pictured here with Christine Kisakye
of the SIFA Choir),
if this song and video doesn't tug on the heart strings we
don't know what will.
The children of the SIFA Choir traveled here from Uganda
for the sessions, and are also a touring choir.
The children of the African SIFA choir, most, do not even
speak english, but even with that challenge, proceed to
communicate this powerful message. It was fun and
enlightening having SIFA here and we feel honored to have had
them, Bill Rodman, the project's producer, and Rilee in the
studio.
They exuded a certain magic. There are clips in the video of
them in their sessions here. Bill has great plans for this
project including possibly bringing it to Oprah for support.
You can help too by downloading the song. All proceeds go to
the Ugandan orphans who inspired its very existence.

If you can, turn up your volume... listen, watch, and
enjoy. And please, spread the word!
