New Equipment and Piano at Trod Nossel
Yamaha C7 Concert Grand Piano
|
This meticulously maintained instrument was acquired by
Trod Nossel in March 2008 from
Crushing Music in New York. Some notables who have
recorded on this piano are Dr. John, Richard Tee, jazz
legends Don Sebesky and Rob Mounsey, Rupert Holmes, Billy
Preston, Kenny White and Chris Palmero to name a few.
The piano was owned by the talented Joey Levine, who is
the founder of Crushing and also responsible for over 20
million records sold in the 70s and 80s, producing groups
such as Ohio Express, Tommy James and the Shondelles, Joan
Jett and others. For the last 3 decades, Joey Levine and
his company, Crushing, have produced outstanding campaigns
such as "Sometimes You Feel Like A Nut" for Peter Paul,
"You Asked For It, You Got It, Toyota," "The Heartbeat Of
America," for Chevrolet, "Just For The Taste Of It, Diet
Coke," "Budweiser, This Is Beer," for Anheuser-Busch.
Besides scoring music for some Children's Television shows
and Sony Columbia Tristar, he consults as an 'idea man' to
ad agencies helping to mold entire strategies and
campaigns.

there are so many photos that still need to be added, but you
can see the head start we've gotten both here and in the Time
Machine. We're acquiring, digitizing and restoring many
photos that are not available online yet. (if you have some
cool ones of yourself and/or your band in our facility, let us

Trod Time Machine
We thought it best that the
history of the business and the studio have its very own
site. There are so many decades of information and unique
stories and experiences for so many, not to mention our being
the catalyst for so many studios, labels, artists, engineers
and the music industry in general, that it is difficult to
capture it all in one place. So, as an adjunct to the main
business site, we have created the Trod Time Machine, complete
with retro design (inspired by the poster that's been hanging
in the 
business office for many decades). The Time Machine includes
a vintage gallery, as well as original clips from the 60s to
the present in a vintage jukebox. There will be a section
there capturing blurbs on past artists managed by the company,
as well as
your submissions* and accounts of great stories in the
studio, with Doc Cavalier, or anything else Trod Nossel
related you'd like to share*.
It can be accessed by the flash movie at the bottom of the
home page or the Time Machine Logo in the nav bar, which is
always available on the left from the main site.
